A tablet game for iOS and Android, available for download from April 16 – developed and tested by teachers.
Munich, April 16, 2015 – Who knows the cons that students look to pull during their time at school better than a teacher? No one, surely. That’s why the new tablet game Cheats4Hire, available for download from the Apple and Google App Stores from April 16, is so convincing in its insightful portrayal of the students’ list of tricks: the game’s designer, Matthias Brunner, studied to become a teacher himself, before finding his true calling in the gaming world – and immortalizing his personal experiences of tricks and cheats in this game.
The mix of subject-matter, setting and genre in this tablet game for Android and iOS breathes fresh life into mobile gaming, as the player follows a group of cheaters and their mentor Joseph, the janitor. Joseph is looking for revenge on the principal, who was responsible for him being expelled from school. This uncommon team has to cheat and trick their way through the school year, whilst helping all the other students who have no chance of doing well by themselves – and without being caught by the teachers. The authentic feel of Cheats4Hire was tested very early on: the first testers of the tablet game – which makes trickery the guiding principle of the game and the focus of the action – were also teachers! Matthias Brunner recruited them from amongst his circle of friends for the task.
Alongside Joseph, there are other exciting, fun characters – like Neville, the nerdy trickster king, Ashley, the cheerleader, and Brett, the champion athlete who can be found in any school. In this gorgeous looking tablet game, not least thanks to the graphics exclusively contributed by renowned comic artist and graphic designer Sean Galloway, the player has to exploit the various strengths of these characters to achieve the objective. The player controls three of those smart cheaters in real time, using multitasking – and it is only as a team that you might succeed in the puzzle-style missions.
To enable players at every level of experience to enjoy playing Cheats4Hire, they can accomplish the individual missions to varying grades depending on how ambitious they want to be. The higher the achievement, the better the grade. One thing’s for sure: school has rarely been such fun, and never has there been so much cheating, all for a good cause.
