Company history

In the summer of 2004, publication of the first Travian game laid the foundation stone for the creation of one of the most successful companies in the German games industry.

Founded as a non-trading partnership at the beginning of 2005, Travian Games took on its current form as a limited liability corporation in the fall of 2005. The Bavarian games company has continued to grow and flourish since that date. Starting with just four employees, the company has grown dramatically in just a few years and now employs over 150 people. This makes Travian Games GmbH Bavarias’s largest employer in the games industry. Staff at the highly-successful Munich location work on creating, marketing and supporting high-quality browser games. Products from the Travian Games portfolio are played in more than 200 countries around the world and translated into up to 42 different languages.

This is how the Munich-based company reaches over 130,000,000 registered users (status as of: September 2012) – a number that increases daily.

In future, Travian Games plans to make successive additions to its portfolio, as well as
increasing its international presence by releasing existing titles in more countries and language versions.
