Youth camp in goalunited 2012 thanks to European top club Benfica Lisbon
goalunited 2012 is one of the world’s most successful online football manager games and it is now available in 26 different languages. northworks, the Hamburg-based Travian Games subsidiary, is now giving millions of players the opportunity to promote effective cooperation with young players. None other than top European football club Benfica Lisbon – also known as Sport Lisboa e Benfica, or SL Benfica – will implement a virtual youth training camp in the game, providing the support that enables young footballers to improve and train their talents.
The trading card for the youth camp is available only until December 13
The training camp will be based on the 32-time Portuguese champions' extremely successful youth promotion programme. Players from Benfica’s youth team are generally equipped to play in the most prestigious leagues around the world, often becoming international stars in the process.
To enable players of goalunited 2012 to add top class young footballers to their own teams without sending transfer costs through the roof, all virtual managers will have the opportunity to acquire the “Benfica Eagles Academy” card via the trading card system for a limited period of 11 days. When played, the card converts a completed youth training camp in the player’s stadium into a completely new building: the ultra-modern “Benfica Eagles Academy”. As in the standard goalunited youth program, a new player in the youth training camp is observed over several weeks before he gets the chance to join the professional team as a fully-trained new talent. The “Benfica Eagles Academy” reduces the waiting time for new players, as they are unlocked and fully-trained on the first observation day. This gives managers the opportunity to recruit a young diamond-in-the-rough sooner, as the required scouting time is reduced.
The card is available in the game from December 2. – 13. Its benefits continue to apply after this period. The cooperation with Lisbon has been made possible thanks to the support of Iconicfuture.
