Travian Games wins award for best German Publisher at German Game Developer Awards 2011

In a dazzling gala ceremony in front of nearly 600 invited guests, 14 lucky winners were honored for their work in the "8th German Developer Awards" yesterday in Duesseldorf/Germany. Notable German members of the interactive entertainment community who were celebrating the awards until the early hours of the morning deemed the event a great success. Publishers, developers, politicians, media representatives and celebrities attended one of the most important awards in a still growing industry.

The Award for Best German Publisher was given to Travian Games amid strong competition from the traditional video games industry.

Travian Games Managing Director Florian Bohn radiated joy as he accepted the prize: "We are more than happy to have received this award. It's a tremendous honor for all our employees in Munich, our subsidiaries and especially for the Travian Publishing and their global development studios. Above all, we are pleased that a jury of more than 300 industry insiders has recognized an online browser game as the Best German Game Publisher. The fact that we were nominated and won among other well-known and successful German publishers is fantastic and a testimony to our economically sustainable and product-oriented strategy."
