Travian Games takes the humorous approach with Roger & Out

Roger & Out the new progress-bar game in the Scifi universe
Space, the final frontier… Who’s that mysterious guy in the black helmet and a bad case of mechanical asthma? These are references that everybody gets. Who doesn’t love the protagonists of sci-fi epics? Some go back for decades of movie nights and gaming evenings. Right now, a futuristic elite combat soldier is making record sales on gaming consoles for one of the most successful games of all time. Not to be left behind, Travian Games has taken on the modest task of bringing the entire sci-fi universe to your browser, starting with a little game called Roger & Out.
Roger & Out are two robots with a single mission: to battle boredom and exercise your laughing muscles. The latest game from the Bavaria-based browser game veterans provides an accessible and very entertaining gaming experience. In this varied progress-bar game, sci-fi fans can play against one another and join guilds to play against other alliances for ascendancy. The game brims with references to famous films and TV series. At the same time, would-be space conquerors can create their own unique sci-fi heroes and customize them with all kinds of different items.
Not only sci-fi fans will love this game. Roger & Out don’t take their space role models too seriously but they do love its fans. Travian Games aims right at the heart of the sci-fi community and its very specific tastes. To do this, Travian Games is giving the community the option to actively participate. Interested fans can take their first look behind the scenes of the game at the beginning of 2013. They can also get to know Roger & Out right now and actively participate in the future of the game. For example, who should Roger & Out lampoon next? In the future, science fiction fans can actively participate in the development of a new sci-fi legend at www.facebook.com/rogerandoutofficial.

Mighty Heroes, Massive Walls and Strategic Thinking - Tower Heroes Closed Beta started

The Closed Beta of Tower Heroes has just been launched
“None shall pass!”—that’s the battle cry at the heart of every tower defense game. Travian Games is taking the genre in a new direction, building a cleverly-balanced massively-multiplayer strategy game on a solid foundation of challenging tower defense gameplay. The combination makes Tower Heroes, developed in Canada by developer ODD 1, absolutely unique and offers players an entirely new gameplay experience.
Tower Heroes is set in a unique rendered comic-medieval world. Players choose their hero - a dwarf, elf or human—and take command of a lonely castle. Then, mustering all their skills and strategic thinking, they gather resources from the surrounding environment and try to build a true empire. As their reserves of raw materials grow, players can expand their own castles and turn them into impregnable fortresses. A wealth of options is available. They can marshal brave warriors, colossal catapults, impassible barriers and rampart fortifications. The more players expand their influence across the map, the more often they’ll be caught up in skirmishes and even all-out onslaughts. That’s because you’re never alone in the world of Tower Heroes. It’s up to the players themselves to determine whether neighboring commanders are friends or foes. As you’d expect from a browser game, diplomacy and an alliance system are crucial elements in Tower Heroes.
Travian Games, the Munich-based browser games company, has released Tower Heroes as a closed beta, welcoming players from around the world to its servers. Interested players can register for a beta key at http://start.towerheroes.com or check out http://www.facebook.com/towerheroesnews for regular updates and access codes.
